O you generous and noble people! Hurry up onto the field of mutual compassion. Console your brethren with your gifts and know that your kindness to them will alleviate their sufferings. Many verses of the Qur’ân and many hadîths encourage you to assist your brethren who are in need. Allâh says: And whatever you spend in good, it is for yourselves, when you spend not except seeking Allâh’s Countenance. And whatever you spend in good, it will be repaid to you in full, and you shall not be wronged.” (Al-Baqarah 2:272)

"Allâh calls our attention to a great blessing that He has endowed us with. This blessing is the relationship between man and woman by which isolation is removed, happiness is achieved and peace and tranquility are attained in the life of this world. One should therefore, take care of this blessing and not become a cause for its destruction." Khutbah from Makkah Sha‘bân 28, 1424 (October 24, 2003)

Friday Sermon given at the Holy Mosque in Makkah, Jumâdal-âkhirah 5, 1422AH: The examination of one’s conscience and calling oneself to account that is done by intelligent people has great benefits. Some of these benefits are that man will know his weaknesses and defects as well as his strengths, good deeds and points of perfection. This will afford him the opportunity of working towards a constructive plan and a better path to be followed in the future.

Friday Sermon given at the Holy Mosque in Makkah, Shawwaal, 20, 1422: When one reflects over the crises that Islaam has underwent in its long history, one will find out that, regardless of the civilization, light, justice and fairness that nations and communities had enjoyed under the rule of Islaam, these crises had significantly weakened the Islaamic civilization in a way that has been a cause of joy for its enemies. However, these crises has its positive impacts. It has reawaken the Muslims, afforded them the opportunity to examine themselves and created in them stronger determination and hope....

Shawaal 13, 1422 (December 28, 2001): He also made this world like a marketplace where people go back and forth; some selling themselves and some freeing themselves. Days are but parts and stages of one’s life. The passage of each day reduces one’s lifespan, brings one closer to death and brings the record of one’s deeds to a gradual end.
