The Rights the Prophet ﷺ has upon Mankind

The Prophet ﷺ has many rights. Respect and appreciation for him should be practiced in the best manner. Respecting the Prophet ﷺ includes respect of and adherence to his Sunnah after his death. Due rights should be given to the Prophet ﷺ without exaggeration.

The problem here with respect to the issue of women – and to that of the young woman in particular – is the result of the coming together with the ideas of the new ignorance with those of the days of ignorance of old.

A Muslim believes in his parents' rights upon him and his obligation to be good to them, obey them and to treat them in the best way. This is not just because they are the cause for his existence. It is also not just because they did a great deal of good to him that he must repay and respond to in a proper manner. But it is first and foremost because Allah the Almighty has made it obligatory upon him to obey them.

The way the issue of slavery is raised by Christian missionaries and critics of Islam outrages the sensibility of honest people. Some elaboration is necessary here to exonerate Islam of the undeserved aspersion cast on it in connection with its position on slavery. After analysis it becomes apparent that the attacks are nothing more than charging others with one's own faults.

There should be neither harming [darar] nor reciprocating harm [diraar]..
